WWE Star Was Shocked After Accidentally Injuring Jade Cargill: “That Was Scary”
WWE star talks about accidentally injuring Jade Cargill during a match.
On the September 26, 2025 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Nia Jax, Jade Cargill, and Tiffany Stratton competed in a Triple Threat match for the Women’s Championship, which was held by Tiffany at the time.
During the match, Nia Jax slammed Cargill face-first into the steel steps, causing her head to collide hard with the steel. The impact resulted in a large gash on Cargill’s forehead, causing her to bleed profusely.
Nia Jax “Didn’t Realize” How Badly Jade Cargill Was Hurt
Speaking in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Nia Jax revealed that she was scared and shocked when she saw the extent of Cargill’s injury.
“That was weird, because I know I’m strong. But yeah, I didn’t realize that even happened. I didn’t realize she hit her head that hard on the steps. So when I saw it, because I didn’t actually get to see the full extent of it until later, I was very shocked that she split open that badly. But it was definitely different. It was a different moment, for sure. But yeah, that was pretty scary.”
Cargill spoke about the incident herself in an interview with WYFF News in November 2025. She said she did not initially realize how badly she was hurt because her body was filled with adrenaline at the time. She only became aware of the severity of the injury later in the match.
