WWE SmackDown: Randy Orton’s Mystery Caller Revealed; Cody Rhodes In Serious Trouble

WWE continued on the Road to WrestleMania with the next stop being at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, which hosted this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

With only two weeks remaining for WrestleMania 42, tonight’s edition of SmackDown built towards the Showcase of the Immortals with some exciting matches and segments on offer for the fans.

The night was kicked off by Randy Orton, who was welcomed with huge cheers from the crowd as he returned to his hometown for the first time since Backlash 2025.

Randy addressed his home crowd as he spoke about Cody Rhodes and claimed that the next time he’s in St.Louis, he will have his 15th World Championship around his waist.

He addressed Cody and said that Stephanie McMahon was right last week when she said he wouldn’t be able to beat Randy, since he isn’t a killer. By this time, Rhodes had heard enough, and he came out to brawl with Orton.

Cody had overpowered The Viper for a while before Pat McAfee made a shocking return and aligned himself with Randy Orton. He kicked Rhodes in the groin before stomping him multiple times and helping Orton assault the champion with a steel chair.

McAfee then addressed his involvement and was revealed to be Randy Orton’s mystery caller, having grown frustrated with the current version of WWE. He claimed that Rhodes represents everything wrong with the business and that The Viper, as he will be the one to save it.
