WWE Raw Match Met With Positive Reaction Backstage

WWE Raw Stage

It would seem some wrestlers on this week’s Monday Night Raw earned particular plaudits from their peers for the match they put together.

On the 17th April 2023 edition of Monday Night Raw, there was plenty of build towards WrestleMania Backlash. However, one singles match quickly earned credit from the fans watching the show, and now it would seem the sentiment was backstage.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has noted that the match between Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and The Miz was met backstage with “a lot of positive reception”. This was Rollins’ first outing since his victory over Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39.

The report went on to comment on the current status of Seth Rollins in WWE. Whilst there had been some speculation that Rollins may have had plans to leave WWE, Sapp quashed the rumor by commenting that “Rollins and WWE have no issues”.

Just like at WrestleMania, Rollins picked up the victory in the contest whilst The Miz took to social media afterwards saying that fans need to put “some respect on his name” and called himself Monday Night Miz.

Both men will have their sights set on matches at Backlash, however neither has one confirmed so far. The matches on the card at this stage are Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar, and The Bloodline vs. Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens & Matt Riddle.
