WWE Raw 30 Smashes Huge Record

WWE Raw 30 Stage

The 30th anniversary of Raw was a celebration of WWE’s flagship show but now it appears the event has smashed a company record.

Philadelphia, PA played host to Raw 30 with stars from past and present sharing the screen to celebrate three decades of the red brand. Just like he was for the first episode of Raw in 1993, The Undertaker was on hand for the festivities resurrecting his American Badass character and sharing a spine-tingling moment in the ring with Bray Wyatt.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was also on hand as he presided over The Trial of Sami Zayn. It was Jey Uso that ultimately leapt to Zayn’s defence with Reigns handing down a not guilty verdict to the Honorary Uce. The Tribal Chief did warn Zayn that he had one “final test” for him at the Royal Rumble.

Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, DX, and Kurt Angle were also all seen on-screen with the obligatory poker party happening backstage which featured WWE Hall of Famers such as JBL, Alundra Blayze, DDP, and Ron Simmons who barely opened his mouth all night.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has reported that an internal memo in WWE has claimed that the Raw 30 show has smashed the record for the highest domestic gate in the show’s thirty-year history with the company later confirming the news. WWE announced 16,957 fans as being in attendance at the Wells Fargo Center for the show.
