WWE Knows What Fans Want For Brock Lesnar WrestleMania Match
Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania match is yet to be finalized, and things moved a step forward this past week on Raw.
Brock Lesnar has been making sporadic appearances in WWE over the past few months and hasn’t been part of a storyline or feud.
His only match inclusions were at Survivor Series: War Games last year in the Men’s War Games match and a brief showing at the Royal Rumble this year in which he came face to face against another sizeable titan, young star Oba Femi, in the ring.
Fans have been rallying for a match between Femi and Lesnar for a while now, and there were rumours of the match possibly happening at the Showcase of the Immortals this year.
However, this past Monday on Raw, Paul Heyman brought out Brock Lesnar and issued an ‘open challenge’ to the locker room to go up against The Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania 42.
Dave Meltzer Reports Brock Lesnar’s Open Challenge Opponent Could Be WWE Star Oba Femi
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer recently reported that although Heyman and Lesnar ignore the Oba Femi chants from the crowd, WWE knows that’s what the fans want to see.
Meltzer observes that the stars not reacting to the crowd could be to help keep the storyline under wraps.
Another opponent for Lesnar that WWE was thinking of was LA Knight. But after the Royal Rumble face-off, WWE will likely throw Femi into the picture.
It’s very clear the crowd wants it to be Oba Femi. The only thing we know is that WWE is well aware of that, as the chants were obvious on 2/23 in Atlanta. But neither Paul Heyman nor Lesnar responded to the chants, which is more than likely not giving away the storyline before the confrontation if that is the direction. As noted before, LA Knight was the direction as of the Royal Rumble, with Femi, based on how the Rumble went, clearly an idea for down the line.
Paul Heyman also revealed Lesnar’s schedule leading up to WrestleMania 42 on Raw.
