Unfortunate Update On WWE Night Of Champions Plans
A global crisis is going to have an effect on an upcoming WWE PLE.
The United States recently launched an attack on Iran, which has impacted many other countries worldwide and Americans at home. Gas prices have risen, oil markets are volatile, and while President Donald Trump insists this will end soon, it has also led to other countries getting involved.
In an update today, US President Donald Trump has threatened to ‘massively blow up’ the world’s largest natural gas field, so it sounds like a situation that is ongoing with no obvious end in sight.
One of those countries that has become involved in the US-Iran War is Saudi Arabia, which has been attacked by Iran. As WWE fans know, WWE hosts many shows in Saudi Arabia, and they have done so for much of the last eight years. This past January, the Royal Rumble was held in Saudi Arabia for the first time ever.
There was a plan for Saudi Arabia to host three WWE PLEs in 2026, but those plans may not come to fruition.
WWE Night Of Champions Could Change Locations
It has been reported by WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select that sources in WWE believe that it’s “doubtful at best” that Night of Champions will take place in Saudi Arabia as planned.
The original plans were for Night of Champions to take place in June, but due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and around Saudi Arabia, it’s not safe to hold a WWE PLE there.
If WWE moves Night of Champions to the United States, Canada, or another country, they will probably need to announce a date and location soon so fans have enough time to buy tickets.
