WWE News: Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso for Universal Title at Hell in a Cell on Oct. 25 (in a HIAC Match)

The Universal Title match at WWE Hell in a Cell on October 25 will be a rematch from this past Sunday’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view. That match saw Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeat his cousin Jey Uso as expected in a match where Jey’s twin brother Jimmy had to throw in the towel for Jey, who refused to call Reigns the “Tribal Chief” like Roman wanted.

This past Friday on Smackdown, Reign wanted Jey to call him the “Tribal Chief” again, Jey refused it and kept staring at the Universal Title, so Reigns suggested putting the Universal Title on the line in the “high stakes match in WWE history.”

Here’s more from WWE.com on the match.

Roman Reigns has taken his place at the head of the table. All he wants now is for his cousin Jey Uso to pay his respects and join him.

The Big Dog will go to battle with his Bloodline once again in a Universal Championship rematch with Uso in a Hell in a Cell Match at WWE Hell in a Cell. Reigns sent a brutal message in his win at WWE Clash of Champions that only ended once Jimmy Uso finally threw in the towel on behalf of his brother. It appeared the Universal Champion was set to move on with Paul Heyman prepared to official crown him The Tribal Chief on Friday Night SmackDown, but Reigns yearned for more. The titleholder asked for Uso to come out and call him The Tribal Chief in order for the status to be fully earned. The high-flying challenger wouldn’t take that step, but he did agree to share the ring with his cousin once again in the “highest stakes match in WWE history.”

What will happen when family collides inside one of sports-entertainment’s most unforgiving structures?

Don’t miss WWE Hell in a Cell on Sunday, Oct. 25 on the award-winning WWE Network.

The rumors for the “highest stakes match in WWE history” are that it would be something where Jey has to call Reigns his “Tribal Chief” and join Reigns in a stable. When Jimmy is back from his torn ACL knee injury in January or February (he tore the knee at WrestleMania back in April and it’s usually an eight or nine month injury), he would join Roman and Jey as well. That way it would be like a family stable perhaps with other members as well. It’s just a rumor for now.

There could be two more matches inside Hell in a Cell at Hell in a Cell as well. That’s because on Raw, it looks like Drew McIntyre will still have to deal with Randy Orton, who he defeated at the last two pay-per-views in WWE Championship matches. If they do a third match as expected, it’s probably going to be in the cell.

The other match that might be inside the Hell in a Cell structure is Bayley defending the Smackdown Women’s Title against Sasha Banks. Bayley is defending her title against Banks on Smackdown this coming Friday, but it’s likely that match won’t have a clean finish and will probably set up a Hell in a Cell match. Wrestlevotes on Twitter has noted in the past that the rumored main event for Hell in a Cell would be Bayley vs. Banks in a Hell in a Cell match.

That’s all for now. We should know more about the HIAC lineup this week on WWE TV.
