A WWE legend was unmasked in a shocking moment on RAW.

Rey Mysterio is widely regarded as one of the greatest luchadors of all time. He is also one of the most beloved stars on the main roster. Mysterio is also one of the most decorated stars in the company. Therefore, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame even before he could retire, which is very rare.

In recent weeks, Rey Mysterio has made it clear that he would be interested in challenging Penta for the Intercontinental Championship. Therefore, Adam Pearce made this match official for tonight.

Rusev unmasked Rey Mysterio after a brutal assault on WWE RAW

Tonight on RAW, Penta and Rey Mysterio put on an instant classic match for the Intercontinental Championship. However, it was the former AEW star who won over the WWE Hall of Famer. After the match, Rusev and Ethan Page ambushed Penta and Rey Mysterio from behind.

Dragon Lee came out to make the save. He got some offense in before Ethan Page dragged him out of the ring and sent him over the barricade. Rusev then pulled Rey’s mask off his face while Page made Penta watch.

Rusev’s act was very disrespectful towards the lucha libre culture.
