WWE Has Made Creative Pitch For Absent Star

It looks like the wheels are in motion to have a plan when a currently absent WWE star makes his return.

It was on the 5th December 2022 edition of Monday Night RAW when Matt Riddle, having been unsuccessful in a match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships with Kevin Owens, was viciously attacked by Solo Sikoa. He was stretchered from the ring, and hasn’t been seen on our screens since.

Later, it came to light that Matt Riddle had failed a second drug test for the year and would be attending rehab. He hadn’t previously violated the wellness policy during the summer of 2022.

There have been plenty of reports about when Riddle could return from his stint on the sidelines, however the latest would indicate that he’s due back sooner rather than later.

Pro Wrestling Insider Elite has reported that “there’s a creative pitch for a Matt Riddle return”. This would lead many to speculate that he could be a part of WrestleMania this weekend, however the report also notes that he isn’t in town.

Whilst that could easily be a red herring, or he could potentially be flown in as a surprise for RAW, remains to be seen. However, the report does note that Matt Riddle is set to stay as part of the red brand on his return.
