WWE Has Huge Plans For Liv Morgan Heading Into WrestleMania 42
Since returning to WWE at Survivor Series, Liv Morgan has set her sights on gold.
The former Women’s Champion is currently involved in a storyline alongside her ‘The Judgment Day’ stable against the Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky.
On the January 19 episode of Raw, she tried to drive a wedge between the champions by telling Sky the story of how Ripley had turned on Morgan in the past.
The 33-year-old said that Ripley’s selfishness will cost her dearly in the long run. Sky, on the other hand, did not buy into Morgan’s theory about how Ripley will betray her.
Liv Morgan, along with Roxanne Perez, won a #1 Contenders match last week against the Kabuki Warriors and Bayley/Lyra Valkyria. As a result, they will challenge Ripley and Sky for the tag team titles at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIII on January 24.
WWE’s Plans For Liv Morgan Revealed
Liv Morgan had been injured since June 2025 until she returned to WWE in November.
Upon her return, she attacked John Cena during his Intercontinental Championship defense against Dominik Mysterio, costing him the title.
According to a recent Self Made Session podcast, WWE is planning to have Morgan win the Women’s Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, putting her in crosshairs with Stephanie Vaquer, who is the current Women’s World Champion.
There are people who think Liv Morgan should win the Royal Rumble and go straight into facing Stephanie Vaquer, and that’s absolutely in play. There have been high-level meetings over the last couple of weeks to hammer out some plans for WrestleMania. [H/T: Ringside News]
This report clarifies earlier claims by Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, stating that the Stamford promotion had major plans for Morgan.
On Monday, Morgan also announced herself as one of the official participants in the Women’s Royal Rumble match on January 31.
