John Cena won’t be the only legend in attendance for WWE Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad, India.

In early August, it was announced that WWE would be making its long-awaited return to India on September 8th when the company presents Superstar Spectacle.

When news broke that John Cena was on his way back to WWE, he soon confirmed that he would be returning to in-ring action at the blockbuster event.

Now, a new report from PWInsider Elite reveals that another legend is expected to be in attendance at the show. The report notes that WWE Hall of Famer The Great Khali is expected to be there in some capacity, though there is no word on what his role is for the show.

Though WWE will have cameras at the show, there are no plans to broadcast Superstar Spectacle at this time.

When Did The Great Khali Last Wrestle?

Since 2014, Khali’s in-ring appearances have been few and far between. His most recent bout came in 2018 when he participated in the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arab

After stints in New Japan Pro Wrestling, All Japan, and CMLL, The Great Khali signed with WWE in January 2006. After spending a handful of months in the developmental territory, Deep South Wrestling, Khali arrived on SmackDown in April. The giant star attacked The Undertaker on debut leaving him laying. This set up a rivalry between the pair which would run all the way to SummerSlam.

After a switch to ECW, Khali eventually made his way back to SmackDown as part of the 2007 Draft. After Edge was forced to relinquish the World Championship due to injury, Khali won a Battle Royal on the July 20th edition of SmackDown to claim the World Heavyweight Championship. The Indian star was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the spring of 2021.
