One WWE Hall of Famer has admitted that he threatened to kill Shawn Michaels.

While Shawn Michaels might be NXT’s cuddly grandpa these days, during the nineties, he was anything but.

As one of WWE’s top stars and firmly entrenched in the infamous Kliq, Michaels wielded backstage power to benefit himself and his friends at the expense of many other stars, making plenty of enemies in the process. His rivalry with Bret Hart that culminated in the Montreal Screwjob is well documented, but Michaels very nearly met serious danger when he picked on the wrong star.

Mark Henry Threatened To Kill Shawn Michaels

Speaking to Inside The Ropes, Mark Henry recalled suffering a serious ankle injury early in his career, leading to people hiding his crutches, leaving him helpless. Henry had enough on one occasion when he suffered mocking from Shawn Michaels in front of the locker room:

I said, ‘Hey man, I don’t feel like playing. Like enough is enough. Like I’ve been doing this all day. I’m done.’ And he was like, ‘But how are you going to get home?’ You know, he just kept on pushing the button.

And I said, ‘You’re too little to be talking to me, man. I’ll kill you. There ain’t enough people standing behind you right now to stop me from taking your life, and you’re over here playing with your life like that.
