A spoiler has provided some information regarding who will be teaming with the LWO at WWE Fastlane.

One of the big matches set to take place at WWE Fastlane tonight in Indianapolis will see the trio of Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) taking on the Latino World Order (LWO) group led by the United States Champion Rey Mysterio.

When the match was announced last week on Smackdown, the assumption was that Rey would team up with the LWO’s Santos Escobar and either Joaquin Wilde or Cruz Del Toro.

However, last night on Smackdown, The Street Profits brutally attacked Wilde and Del Toro. They sent Del Toro face first into the steel steps while the Profits hit their double team spinebuster/neckbreaker on WIlde on the floor. All of that chaos led to Lashley hitting Rey with a Spear for the pinfall win.

In a backstage segment outside of the WWE Trainer’s room, Rey informed Escobar and Zelina Vega of the LWO that Wilde & Del Toro won’t be able to wrestle at Fastlane. When asked what they would do, Rey said he would make a phone call.

The person that Rey is calling will turn out to be Carlito, according to PWInsider Elite. This will be the official return of Carlito, who re-signed with WWE several months ago and was waiting to be brought back to television.

Carlito helped the LWO at Backlash

At the WWE Backlash PLE in Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny was in one of the biggest matches of the show with Damian Priest. When The Judgment Day got involved, the LWO was there to watch Bad Bunny’s back. In addition to that, the Puerto Rican wrestling legend Savio Vega made the save and so did Carlito, who is also a Puerto Rican wrestling legend. Bad Bunny went on to win the match while Carlito & Savio celebrated with the LWO.

Carlito looks like he’s in the best shape of his career at 44 years old, so a lot of fans wondered if this would mean a WWE comeback after being released by the company in 2010.

In June, Carlito said that he had signed with WWE and was no longer taking indy dates. Since then, fans have wondered when he was going to come back to WWE. It was believed that WWE was waiting for the right storyline to bring him back. Apparently it will be tonight at Fastlane with the LWO.

During his first run in WWE from 2004 to 2010, Carlito was a former Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Champion. He also came back for the 2021 Royal Rumble that took place in front of no fans at the ThunderDome and won a tag team match with Jeff Hardy the next night on Raw.
