WWE Crowned AEW Star Champion Against His Will After Release Request

One AEW star has revealed he was made a champion in WWE despite asking to leave the company.

Ricochet does not care about burning bridges with WWE, as a cursory look at his social media will prove. The current AEW National Champion seems very happy in his new wrestling home and has claimed that joining WWE destroyed part of his legacy.

As Ricochet stands up for himself and AEW online, he is a magnet for the very worst trolls, including those who should really know better.

Ricochet Blasts Former WWE Referee

Responding to former WWE referee turned insufferable internet troll Jimmy Korderas on social media, Ricochet did not hold back and revealed that WWE made him Intercontinental Champion despite him not wanting to hold the title and wanting out of the company altogether:

Jimmy shut the f*ck up you old ass cuck idiot. I signed ONE contract in 2019 for 5 years. It was up in 2024 and I left. No resign no 2nd contract. I did ask for my release. They denied it and made me IC champ knowing I said I didnt want it. So maybe a little bit of research before you use your c*ck sucker to say some stupid sh*t.
