Liv Morgan will receive a title opportunity at WWE WrestleMania 42 this year after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble.

On a recent edition of the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts predicted that Liv Morgan’s WrestleMania 42 opponent could be her own Judgment Day teammate, Raquel Rodriguez.

Roberts laid out a scenario in which, if Rodriguez were to win the Women’s World Championship on the road to WrestleMania, Liv Morgan could turn on her own partner and challenge Rodriguez for the title at WrestleMania 42.

He added that this angle could also result in Rodriguez turning babyface against a heel Morgan.

Sam Roberts Wants Dominik Mysterio Vs Demon Finn Balor At WWE WrestleMania 42

Roberts also predicted what WWE might have in store for Liv Morgan’s beau, Dominik Mysterio, at this year’s WrestleMania. He stated that the best possible opponent for Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 42 would be Finn Balor, and not just Finn Balor, but Balor in his Demon character.

Finn Balor’s last appearance as The Demon was three years ago at WrestleMania 39 (Night 2) on April 2, 2023, where he lost to Edge in a Hell in a Cell match.

Roberts said, “I think the best Dominik Mysterio match at WrestleMania is Dominik Mysterio versus Finn Balor. And I think the best use of Finn Balor really proving that the old Finn is back, of Finn Balor really proving that this that the old Finn Balor is back to claim what’s his is to show up at WrestleMania as The Demon and do it the old school way.”

“Do it the NXT way. Do it the way Finn Balor was telling Cody Rhodes it should be done. Don’t announce the Demon is fighting at WrestleMania. Announce it’s Finn Balor versus Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania, and then The Demon comes out, and you get to see in real time Dominik Mysterio have this reaction.” (From 50:36)

WWE has heavily teased a split between Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio ever since Dom won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41. According to the WWE narrative, Balor is bitter and jealous of Dominik’s success as the current Intercontinental Champion.
