WWE Forced To Change Masked Man Plans After Bronson Reed’s Injury
Injuries have plagued WWE’s The Vision, and it could have a major effect on the masked man storyline.
The injuries keep mounting for The Vision, which has been the top heel group on WWE’s Monday Night Raw brand since last April.
Seth Rollins hurt his shoulder last October and had surgery, which will keep him on the shelf for about 5-6 months, but he could be back for WrestleMania 42 in April. Bron Breakker suffered a hernia injury in early February that required surgery as well, and he may be out of WrestleMania in April.
On the February 23rd edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed competed in a triple threat match against Jey Uso and the Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable). Unfortunately for Reed, he tore his biceps while breaking up a pin, which led to surgery, and he’ll be out of action for several months.
That means The Vision now consists of Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and the WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, who serves as the group’s manager.
The Vision’s Bronson Reed Injury Likely To Affect WWE’s Masked Man Storyline
There has also been a Masked Man storyline involving The Vision, which began last November at Survivor Series when a masked man helped the group win. That led to Austin Theory being revealed as a member of the group.
At the Royal Rumble, another Masked Man appeared and, this time, cost Bron Breakker in the Royal Rumble with a cheap attack. That Masked Man has also appeared in the weeks since then to screw The Vision and to perform cheap attacks.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, not only was Reed supposed to win his match at Raw, but Logan Paul and the Masked Man were also going to be involved in the match somehow.
The injury to Reed is also expected to cause “big changes” to the Masked Man angle, but it was not reported what those changes might be, other than that there will likely be “heavy rewrites” for the Masked Man angle in the weeks ahead.
