WWE Champion “Excited” About Upcoming Title Defence

Seth Rollins can’t wait to face off against a former rival in November.

Following The Visionary successfully retaining the World Heavyweight Championship at Fastlane against Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match, the champion has little time to rest.

Knowing that he will always have a target on his back while he carries the championship, Rollins was interrupted by Drew McIntyre on Raw, with The Scottish Warrior wanting a title match at Crown Jewel.

With the clash confirmed by WWE, Rollins took to social media to quote the match graphic and revealed that he was looking forward to the upcoming encounter:

Been a minute. Excited to run this one back.
Rollins and McIntyre last fought over a championship at Money in the Bank in 2020, when McIntyre was the WWE Champion. The match saw The Scottish Warrior retain the title against The Visionary in one of the first major events held with no fans.

Seth Rollins Looks To Extend WWE Reign

Rollins remains the first-ever World Heavyweight Champion following the introduction of the title shortly after WrestleMania. A tournament was announced to determine the inaugural champion, which saw the finals also take place in Saudi Arabia at Night of Champions, where Rollins defeated AJ Styles in the final match.

McIntyre looks to be the top champion of Raw once again following a lengthy stretch without a World Championship. First winning the title at WrestleMania 36, The Scottish Warrior would have 2 reigns with the WWE Championship in the pandemic era, sadly never being champion while there were fans in attendance.
