WWE Veteran Addresses Ashley Massaro Epstein Files Mention: “The Evil She Experienced”
In January 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice released more than three million pages of documents tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Buried in those files was a mention of late WWE star Ashley Massaro, which quickly caught the attention of wrestling fans online.
Massaro’s name appeared in a heavily redacted complaint from July 2020. The document alleges that she and another unnamed individual “worked for” Ghislaine Maxwell, with claims of abuse that reportedly dated back to high school.
WWE Veteran Val Venis Shocked To The Core After Ashley Massaro’s Mention In Epstein Files
The mention of Massaro prompted an emotional response from WWE veteran Val Venis, who shared his thoughts on X. Venis said he remembered Massaro as professional, kind, and well put together during their time in WWE.
He admitted the new information deeply shook him and said it gave him a different perspective on the struggles she may have faced.
WOW! I worked with Ashley during my time in the WWE. She was always professional. Always seemed like she had her head on her shoulders. Very nice woman. I was shocked to hear she committed suicide back in 2019. Today my soul has been rattled. If I am reading this right, Ashley appears to have been controlled by Maxwell and Epstein.
That poor woman. I never in a million years would have guessed she was abused by the Epstein and Maxwell human trafficking scheme. Now her suicide is become more clear. The evil she experienced at such a young age was weighted with more than she good bear. #RIPAshleyMassaro
Massaro passed away in 2019 after she committed suicide. She continues to be remembered fondly by fans and peers alike.
