The ‘Wednesday Night Wars’ between NXT and AEW are long over but WWE is putting its developmental brand head-to-head once again with Tony Khan’s company at the end of May.

AEW Double Or Nothing will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on the 28th of May, one night after WWE presents Night of Champions from Saudi Arabia. However, there will be a clash for wrestling fans as NXT Battleground is slated to go head-to-head with the AEW event.

Following NXT on the 16th of May, several new title matches have been added to the Battleground show. For the first time in the United States, the NXT Heritage Cup will be on the line as Noam Dar puts his trophy on the line against Dragon Lee. The match will be contested under Heritage Cup rules which means it will be a two out of three falls match consisting of six three-minute rounds.

NXT North American Champion Wes Lee will also have his hands full on the show as he puts his title on the line against both Joe Gacy and Tyler Bate in a triple threat match.

The NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus have been challenged for their gold by The Creed Brothers once again but that match is, as of now, not yet official.
