Will Ospreay Set For Unexpected Match At AEW All In

Will Ospreay AEW NJPW Forbidden Door Don Callis

Will Ospreay is set to return to AEW for All In, but his opponent isn’t who most people expected.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door saw Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega go head to head in their highly-anticipated second singles bout to date. The two have been at odds on social media for years, and their first singles bout took place at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 back in January.

The bout was highly praised by fans and critics alike, and saw Ospreay victorious in recapturing the IWGP United States Championship with assistance from Omega’s former ally Don Callis. Following the bout, the two took to social media to praise one another, seemingly putting their rivalry to bed for now.

Who Will Be Will Ospreay’s Opponent At AEW All In?

Despite Ospreay’s comments that he doesn’t want to rush a rematch with Omega, many fans speculated that a third bout between the two could take place when AEW heads to London, England for All In.

However, a recent report from Fightful Select indicates the company has very different plans for the Englishman. According to the report, Will Ospreay is indeed set to compete in his home country at All In, but according to NJPW sources, he’s headed for a clash with former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. The report also notes that Don Callis is likely to be factored into the match, pointing out that Callis has been courting Jericho for weeks in an attempt to join forces. Fightful Select was unable to confirm which side Callis would take in the planned bout.
