Why Naomi Hasn’t Returned To WWE Revealed

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi has been absent from WWE since walking out on the company in May 2022 and now the reason why she’s not returned may have come to light.

In May 2022, Sasha Banks and Naomi infamously walked out of Monday Night Raw after growing increasingly frustrated with their creative direction, turning in their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on their way out.

Banks has since re-emerged as Mercedes Moné in New Japan Pro Wrestling and recently captured the IWGP Women’s Championship but Naomi’s future remains uncertain.

Speaking on a virtual signing for Golden Ring Collectibles, it was another of Naomi’s former tag team partners that gave an insight into her current condition. Ariane Andrew – better known to WWE fans as Cameron – has lifted the lid on Naomi recovering from a recent surgery:

“So, she is recovering from shoulder surgery and you know, I want her to answer the question for herself (of what’s next for her). I know she’s recovering from shoulder surgery. But, I’m super proud of her. That’s my sister from another mister and I think you have to ask her for yourself how she’s feeling. See if her shoulder is feeling good because she’s recovering right now. Ask her that question.”
