What Did Roman Reigns Say About The Rock Amid WWE Hiatus?

Roman Reigns and The Rock are two iconic names in the pro-wrestling industry.

Both of them have played a huge role in taking the legacy of the Samoan Wrestling Family forward. They are two of the most sought-after WWE superstars at the moment. Furthermore, the duo has transitioned to Hollywood as well.

Currently, The Rock is not on WWE TV. He was last seen on television at Elimination Chamber 2025, where John Cena turned heel on Cody Rhodes. Unfortunately, this storyline did not work out as intended since The Final Boss stopped appearing on WWE TV.

Roman Reigns opens up about The Rock

Recently, The OTC spoke with Nico Leonard. During the conversation, he opened up about how The Rock’s family and his family, even though not blood-related, have come together and created a legacy in the pro-wrestling industry. He claimed that High Chief Peter Maivia is the one who mentored his father and uncle, and without the families, there would be gaps.

Dwayne’s grandfather, the High Chief Peter Maivia—he’s the one that mentored my father and my uncle and taught them the ropes of the business. And from there it just completely bonded our families, and the history’s there. I think it would still be close to where it’s at, but you would have a couple missing gaps. There would have to be people to replace my family—and then also just Dwayne in general. It would take a lot to fill those voids for sure.

Especially what he’s done—it’s unspoken. Nobody ever hit the scene like Dwayne did and then was able to just move on to the next thing. To be able to keep it there like that—that was perfect. Three or four years of perfection, and then to smoothly transition to the big screen. No one will ever do that. It’ll never happen again.
