Vince McMahon’s Pitches For Roman Reigns “Scoffed At”

Roman Reigns

It would seem that there are those in WWE have very different ideas to Vince McMahon when it comes to who should face Roman Reigns next.

‘The Tribal Chief’ may have overcome ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, but there will be no shortage of challengers looking to end his historic title reign. There can be no doubt his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will be on the line at Night Of Champions, however there has been no opponent confirmed at this point.

With the event set to take place in Saudi Arabia in just three weeks, the picture will need to become clear for who ‘The Head Of The Table’ will face fairly soon. It would seem, according to a new report, that the topic has very much been up for discussion with Vince McMahon suggesting a number of names.

The report from WrestleVotes via GiveMeSport suggests that McMahon’s ideas haven’t just been ignored, but have been “scoffed at” by some within the company.

I was told that Vince McMahon has pitched several ideas for Roman Reigns’ next challenger. A few of them were even kind of scoffed at, like that hat doesn’t make any sense.

With Backlash taking place in Puerto Rico this coming weekend, the report notes that the challenger for Roman Reigns should become clear fairly soon after the event.

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion was drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2023 Draft, which has now concluded with the roster of both the red and blue brands being significantly shaken up and injected with talent from NXT.
