Updated WWE SummerSlam Lineup for Aug. 23 – Four Matches Announced

The next WWE pay-per-view is SummerSlam on August 23. There are rumors of a location possibly being in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area as mentioned by the Wrestling Observer, but that is not confirmed. Obviously, they need to announce it soon if it’s close to happening because there are 19 days until SummerSlam takes place.

Here’s what we know so far:

WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton

Raw Tag Team Championships: Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) (c) vs. Andrade and Angel Garza

Seth Rollins vs. Dominik Mysterio

United States Championship: Apollo Crews (c) vs. Montel Vontavious Porter

Another possible match will see Asuka challenge Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s Title if Asuka beats Bayley on Raw next week.

Everything mentioned above is from the Raw brand. There will likely be Smackdown matches like Braun Strowman vs. The Fiend for the Universal Title, but at this point they haven’t announced anything from the Smackdown brand.

Keep in mind also that WWE is doing the Payback pay-per-view one week later on Sunday, August 30th, so if a match seems obvious for SummerSlam, it could be saved for Payback instead.
