Update On Trish Stratus Returning To WWE

A new report has shed more light on possible plans for WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus who had a recent return to Monday Night Raw abandoned.

On the 20th of February edition of Raw, Bayley was attempting to host her Ding Dong Hello segment when the party was crashed by Lita and Becky Lynch. The pair then challenged SKY and Kai for their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the 27th of February edition of Raw, which Bayley accepted on her Damage CTRL teammate’s behalf.

Fightful Select suggested that the segment was meant to go down very differently. According to the report, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus was meant to return to television in her home country as part of the Ding Dong Hello segment.

Details on why Trish Stratus was pulled from the segment are scarce but Stratus was at the show in Ottawa but apparently left before the segment took place. The only note from WWE is that a “creative change” happened causing Stratus’ appearance to be nixed.

Now Fightful has followed up on their report by stating that they have verified that Becky Lynch was planned for a program with other “high level stars” although they cannot say if that’s still the plan or if that is what Trish Stratus had been planned for.

Many expect that if Stratus does return she may well be part of a team with Lita and Becky Lynch to face Damage CTRL but given Lita and Stratus’ past history, there is nothing to say that Stratus may not side with Bayley’s team.
