Robert Roode is expected to return to WWE soon with an update on what brand he might be on.

The majority of Robert Roode pro wrestling career on television was spent in Impact Wrestling, but he’s been a WWE guy since he joined the company in 2016. When he started in NXT, he was given the memorable “Glorious” theme song that really made him stand out immediately.

During his WWE career, he held the NXT Championship once along with the United States Championship on Smackdown. Roode is also a Raw & Smackdown Tag Team Champion with Dolph Ziggler while also winning the Raw Tag Team Titles with Chad Gable as well.

Roode teamed with Ziggler for much of this year until he underwent a procedure in late September 2021.

An update has been provided by PWInsider, who reported that Roode was in Birmingham, Alabama on Thursday, which is where he had an operation in September. The report said that Roode “will be back soon” from his injury.

It was also noted that Roode has been talked about for the Smackdown brand when he returns to the ring.

Prior to joining WWE in 2016, Roode was in TNA/Impact Wrestling starting in 2004. Roode did it all in Impact Wrestling including two reigns as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, an eight-time Tag Team Champion and more.

On Instagram, Roode had a proud dad moment as he posted a photo with his son Nick, who is joining the Michigan Lacrosse team.

Following a recent report, it appears that Roode has now transitioned to a backstage producer role within the company.
