Fresh Update On Oba Femi’s WWE Main Roster Status

Oba Femi

A new update has come to light on the WWE main roster status of Oba Femi.

Oba Femi dominated NXT during his time on that brand, capturing the NXT Championship on two occasions. Such was WWE’s desire to have him on the main roster, primed to be a major star, that they did not have him lose the title before he left NXT; he simply vacated it, leaving the belt in the ring for vultures to fight over.

Femi made his official main roster debut at the Royal Rumble, where he was the number one entrant in the men’s match. The Ruler lasted for almost forty minutes in the bout before he was eliminated by Brock Lesnar. That has only heated up rumours that Femi and Lesnar could be set for a one-on-one clash at WrestleMania.

But what are WWE’s plans for Oba Femi on the main roster, and has the star even been assigned to Raw or SmackDown?

Oba Femi’s WWE Future Still Unknown

Following his Rumble appearance, Oba Femi appeared on Raw, where he decimated the War Raiders tag team. Femi has also appeared on SmackDown, where he actually took part in a match as he destroyed Kit Wilson in under a minute.

Now WWE has advertised Oba Femi for the February 16th edition of Raw in Memphis, Tennessee, alongside stars such as Logan Paul, Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, Stephanie Vaquer, and CM Punk.

Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net noted that WWE’s initial plans for Femi after his call-up placed him on the red brand. It remains to be seen if that will continue to be the case moving forward.
