Trish Stratus To Face Becky Lynch In A Steel Cage Match

trish stratus becky lynch wwe raw contract

After months of tricks, deception, cheap-shots, and rescheduling, the feud between Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch appears to be approaching its end.

The penultimate match on the August 14th episode of RAW saw Becky Lynch face Trish Stratus in singles competition. The match was getting intense but after eleven minutes the action spilled out into the crowd, which led to the referee calling for the bell and ruling the match a double count-out.

The two women continued fighting into the stands and into the concession area, Lynch looked to be ready to deliver the final blow when Zoey Stark appeared and help Stratus come out on top once again.

The fans in attendance weren’t happy, neither with the double count-out finish nor Stark’s interference. As a result, Adam Pearce decided that there would be a rematch between Lynch and Stratus, and this time there would be no way for Zoey Stark to interfere.

Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus to face off in a steel cage match

Stratus and Stark were seen celebrating backstage, but their hoy turned into terror when Adam Pearce announced that Stratus would face Lynch in a steel cage match.

No date for this match has been set, but there is a strong possibility that this match will take place at WWE’s next PLE Payback, which will take place on Saturday, September 2nd, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Although Stratus looked to be shocked and horrified about this announcement on-screen, she had made comments recently stating the opposite: that she wanted a cage match because it was something she wasn’t able to do during her first run from 2000 to 2006.
