Triple H is the Chief Creative Officer of WWE, and given his position, he regularly faces heavy scrutiny. Recently, a WWE veteran pointed out a major mistake that Hunter has been making in the company.

HHH has been acting as the primary on-screen face of WWE. He has been heavily dominating the on-screen presence with prolonged in-ring segments, lengthy speeches, and constant authority figure appearances. Many people have criticized that this has pulled the focus away from the locker room talents.

Is Triple H Stealing The Spotlight From WWE Wrestlers

While speaking on a recent episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand podcast, WWF Hardcore Champion Al Snow gave his two cents on the matter. Snow stated that Triple H appears everywhere as the public face of WWE, including promotional videos, advertisements, press conferences, and major announcements.

He feels that WWE marketing focuses too much on Triple H rather than the wrestlers who actually perform on the shows. HHH is a retired wrestler, and fans are paying to watch stars like wrestlers on the active roster, not the company’s creative executive.

Snow believes Triple H’s primary role is to run creative and book storylines, not to be a central on-screen personality. Therefore, Hunter being at the forefront of the majority of WWE promotional materials is bad for business.

He believes that Hunter should remain primarily a behind-the-scenes creative executive and allow WWE’s wrestlers to be the main faces of the company

Triple H is the same thing in that he’s at the forefront. His voice is on every piece of advertising for WWE. He is the face of WWE. Why? No one’s buying a ticket to see Triple H anymore. He is behind the scenes. He’s the writer. And I’ve always had a problem with that, where you put someone who has that much power behind the camera in front of it, it never goes well. It never goes the way it should. It’s always bad business because it’s just human nature.
