Top NXT Faction Set For SmackDown Debut [SPOILER]

A major NXT faction is to be called up to the SmackDown brand after departing NXT a few weeks ago, with a potentially imminent debut scheduled.

Legado Del Fantasma are SmackDown bound – and they may be arriving as soon as the 7 October broadcast of the blue brand.

The news, as confirmed by both PWInsider and Fightful Select, comes just in time for WWE’s season premiere of their weekly programming. Reports state that they’ll be debuting “imminently” and no name changes are thus far planned for the quartet, though this could all change between now and their official debut.

Formed in the summer of 2020, Santos Escobar, who was then still competing under a mask as El Hijo del Fantasma, was joined by Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza to form the trio. They were joined by Elektra Lopez a year later.

A loss to Tony D’Angelo on NXT Heatwave meant Santos Escobar was ousted from NXT, though he returned to escort Wilde, Mendoza (now Cruz Del Toro), and Lopez with him. This all but confirmed they were heading for the main roster.

Multiple other NXT Superstars have also been called up to the main roster this year, with Butch, Raquel Rodriguez, and Imperium’s GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci among them. Numerous returnees, such as Johnny Gargano, Dakota Kai, and Candice LeRae, were also called up upon being brought back to the company.
