Top AEW Star: “I Did Beat The Sh*t Out Of Eminem”
Top AEW star shares his experience of beating up Eminem.
The reigning AEW World Champion, MJF, recently spoke about beating up the 53-year-old rapper as part of a scripted scene in the movie Happy Gilmore 2, which was released on Netflix on July 23, 2025.
In the movie, MJF plays the role of Gordie, the eldest son of Happy Gilmore, who is portrayed by Adam Sandler. Eminem appears in the film as Marshall Mathers.
During his recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, MJF was asked to describe how he felt while filming the scene in which his character beats up Eminem in Happy Gilmore 2.
MJF Was “Star-Struck” By Eminem
MJF replied that when Eminem arrived on set, a massive security crew of about 10-15 people, whom he described as being as large as the wrestler Luchasaurus, accompanied him. He also added that he was “star-struck” by the rapper when he first saw him.
MJF replied, “I did beat the sh*t out of Eminem, yeah. Marshall Mathers, he rolls deep. He showed up on that movie set with a big crew, probably 10-15 dudes, and they were all easily as big as Luchasaurus. It’s like massive human beings, and I get it because he’s seen some sh*t.
So I’d imagine it’s no different than when a wrestling fan might see me out and about, being next to who is arguably the greatest rapper of all time was one of the only times in my life where I was star struck was that moment.”
