Tony Khan AEW

Tony Khan has revealed one former WWE Superstar that he would love to add to the AEW roster.

AEW President Tony Khan has often swooped to sign top names that were formerly with WWE, with the likes of Chris Jericho, Paul Wight and Jon Moxley all huge stars before becoming All Elite.

During the AEW Full Gear Media Scrum, Khan was asked if he would like to add Mercedes Mone to that list. The former Sasha Banks has been competing for NJPW since departing WWE and Khan confirmed that Mone is a name he would love to add to his roster:

“She was at AEW All In and it was great having her as part of the show.

I have a ton of respect for Mercedes Mone, we would love to have her anytime in AEW, and she has had a great experience with our partner, New Japan, and she would be a great addition to AEW anytime and we would always love to have her here.

I have a ton of respect for her and have had great conversations with her, and I think the world of her.”

When WIll Tony Khan Target Return To The Ring?

Khan will be forced to wait for any potential AEW debut for Mone, however, with the former five-time WWE Raw Women’s Champion currently out of in-ring action due to a serious ankle injury suffered at NJPW Resurgence on 21st May 2023.

Whilst a return date has not yet been revealed, Mone revealed recently that it would not be until 2024.
