Tony Khan “Couldn’t Manage A Clown Car” Says WWE Hall Of Famer

Tony Khan

One WWE Hall of Famer had some harsh words for Tony Khan.

Tony Khan should be enjoying the build up to the biggest wrestling show of all time that he is promoting as AEW gets set to take over Wembley Stadium but the build-up to the event has been overshadowed with backstage drama again.

CM Punk is said to be behind stars – including AEW’s own Head of Talent Relations – not being allowed at Collision and is said to have “veto power” over the Saturday night show.

Speaking on his Strictly Business podcast, the former WCW and WWE executive Eric Bischoff took aim at Tony Khan over the recent issues in AEW, especially over the fact that they were made so public:

“The lack of leadership, the lack of professionalism, is manifested by somebody [who] is talking to these outside news sites. This is internal business. This should be dealt with internally and it’s not. There are too many people talking outside of the office. This is in my opinion proprietary confidential information that shouldn’t be shared with anybody.”

“It’s literally the inmates running the asylum at this point and the entire company looks like a giant clown car filled with juvenile unprofessional self-absorbed children. Not all of them obviously, I don’t want to cast such a broad net, but I’ve never seen anything like this before. Could you imagine if Tony Khan would have been able to buy WWE? You can’t manage a clown car at this point.”

Tony Khan facing challenges in AEW

Some challenges Tony Khan is facing currently are good ones with the AEW boss looking forward to finding out what will be difficult with running two massive shows in a week with All In and All Out taking place on consecutive weekends.

However, something else that might not be so positive for Khan is reports that there are many stars in AEW unhappy with the build-up to the Wembley Stadium show.
