Thunder Rosa Hits Back At Injury Faking Claims

Thunder Rosa

Do you miss Thunder Rosa?

Well, get used to it, because it looks like she won’t be returning from her injury for quite some time.

Making her weekly appearance co-hosting with Dave LeGreca on “Busted Open Radio” on SiriusXM, the AEW Women’s World Champion aimed to give fans an update on her injury and when the wrestling world could expect her back.

According to Rosa, she will be out for several months due to her back injury that she says has her in pain and that she’s partaking in physical therapy to get back healthy. Rosa also stated that she’s going through non-surgical treatments to assist with her recovery:

“In the next couple weeks, we’ll be putting some stuff [on] YouTube so you guys can see what kind of treatment I’ve been doing. The funny thing is that, even though I’m doing all this therapy, people are still making comments like ‘You’re still faking it, right? I’m not faking it!”

Rosa also highlighted what her schedule is going to look like in the months ahead.

“When I was talking to my PT … she was explaining to me how I will be doing therapy for about 6-8 weeks, and then after that I have to get back to conditioning for wrestling, because it’s not like ‘Oh, you’re clear, you can just jump in the ring. It’s a process, and I have to make sure it heals, because tears are really hard to heal, especially where I have them, so they want to make sure that they’re healed so when I return I’m completely healthy and I don’t re-injure myself.”

Despite her injury and the pain, however, Rosa said she remains to work hard.

“It is a lot because I have to go to therapy 3-4 times a week. So it’s like my other job now.”

Thunder Rosa is slated to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against the current interim champion and her former ThunderStorm tag team partner Toni Storm when she returns to AEW.
