The Elite Refuse To Meet With CM Punk, Why They Want Distance

There is some clarity on how The Elite feels about CM Punk currently amid yet another day of AEW drama.

It has been another week full of drama related to All Elite Wrestling with CM Punk at the center of it all yet again.

The most recent CM Punk-related issues came to light after Punk bashed The Elite’s “Hangman” Adam Page since a fan had a sign that said “This is Hangman country” on AEW Collision last Saturday. Due to his 2022 issues with Hangman, Punk based him for not selling merchandise the way Punk does. There have been follow up reports claiming that Punk felt bad about what he said.

There was also a story that CM Punk didn’t allow certain people to go to Collision in recent weeks. This led to the revelation of a story where Punk confronted AEW’s Ryan Nemeth due to a tweet with Nemeth calling Punk “soft” amid all of the AEW drama. Punk didn’t like that, got in Nemeth’s face and there was an apology.

Even Christopher Daniels, who is the AEW Head of Talent Relations for over four years, is not allowed to be at Collision because of CM Punk since Daniels is close to The Elite’s Kenny Omega, Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) and “Hangman” Adam Page.

The Elite Refuse To Speak With CM Punk

In another update on the situation, Fightful Select reports that CM Punk is interested in speaking to The Elite’s Omega, Page and the Jacksons, but those four men refuse to do so. Hangman apparently avoids the situation altogether and has no interest in working with Punk again.

The Fightful story claims that some people think Punk is trying to work himself into an angle.

Meanwhile, the people that are close to The Elite say that these sorts of situations involving Punk make them want to keep their distance even more.
