Update On Future Of The Creed Brothers In WWE

The Creed Brothers lost a big match in NXT with a major stipulation on it, but their WWE future is still up in the air.

This past Tuesday, July 4th on WWE NXT, The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) were in a Loser Leaves NXT match against The Dyad’s Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler.

It was a match that WWE taped one week earlier due to the July 4th holiday with most people expecting The Dyad to lose since Reid & Fowler requested their WWE release months ago, but it was not granted.

Instead of The Dyad losing, they found a way to win meaning Julius & Brutus lost the match and that means The Creed Brothers must leave NXT.

However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that it’s unknown if The Creed Brothers will get called up to the main roster to be on Raw or Smackdown, but it’s possible that the former NXT Tag Team Champions will be back in NXT.

“Regarding The Creeds, if you watch NXT TV, the conclusion you would come to is they are headed to the main roster, but without Ivy Nile, after losing the loser leaves town match. I would figure that’s the case but one person very close to the situation was outright told that it’s an angle and they will be back.”

“This could be real or it could be those in charge at NXT telling people a story because of the idea they want to keep it a secret, but I’m not sure why you’d bother with the loser leaves town match already taking place. Another person who would be in a situation where they should know said that the final decision hasn’t been made.”

Julius is the older brother that’s 28 years old (29 in October) while Brutus is 27 years. They are successful former collegiate wrestlers that have done very well on the NXT brand over the last two years. Julius in particular has stood out due to his overall athletic skills and improved promos while Brutus has shown off tremendous power.

As for the future, it remains unknown at this point.

In a new update, the contract status of the team that defeated them, The Dyad, has also come to light.
