The Bella Twins React To AJ Lee’s First WWE Title Win In 12 Years

AJ Lee won her first singles title in WWE in over a decade at Elimination Chamber on Saturday.

The Geek Goddess left WWE in April 2015. She made her shocking return on the September 5, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where she aligned with her husband, CM Punk, in a feud against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

She wrestled her first match in over a decade at WrestlePalooza 2025, competing in an inter-gender bout where she and Punk defeated Rollins and Lynch. Lee later competed in the 2025 Survivor Series WarGames match as part of the babyface team, where she secured the victory by forcing Becky Lynch to tap out.

After a brief hiatus, Lee returned to Monday Night Raw a few weeks ago and challenged Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber. Lynch initially wanted to face Lee one-on-one without putting her title on the line, but Lee goaded her into making the match a championship bout.

At Elimination Chamber, AJ Lee competed in front of her hometown crowd and defeated Becky Lynch to become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion, which marks her first title win in 12 years.

Shortly after the former WWE Divas Champion won the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, The Bella Twins took to Twitter to share their reactions and congratulate the new champ:

The tweet read, “That’s right @TheAJMendez !!!! #WWEChamber”

Both The Bella Twins previously stepped away from WWE, though not for as long as Lee. Nikki Bella returned at the 2025 Royal Rumble, while Brie Bella made her long-awaited return at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
