The Bella Twins Admit “You Never Know” How Things Will Go With WWE Star

The Bella Twins enjoy the unpredictable nature of a WWE newcomer.

As WWE Hall of Famers who started with the company two decades ago, The Bella Twins duo of Nikki & Brie Bella have worked with all kinds of characters throughout their careers.

Currently, Nikki is on the shelf and rehabbing an ankle injury while Brie is one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions with her buddy Paige.

Recently, the Bella Twins have appeared in short online videos with WWE newcomer Danhausen, who is quickly establishing himself as one of the most distinctive characters in WWE history.

In their online videos together, Danhausen often refers to the sisters as “Bella clones” and says confusing things, which is part of his schtick as a silly character.

During a recent appearance on the Battleground podcast, Nikki Bella spoke about the chemistry with the “very evil” Danhausen.

“Oh yes—like, naturally, from the first time we did something with him, there’s just some people you work with where you have great chemistry.”

“So with him, right off the bat, we did. And it was really funny because of the whole ‘Bella clones’ thing. But it is hard—I love it, though. You have to stay serious, and you’re just like…”

The Bella Twins Do Their Best To React To Danhausen

Regarding their actual segments with Danhausen, The Bella Twins just try to react to what the “very nice” one might do. There’s no script and it’s all about having fun.

Brie: “You kind of have to go with it. It’s not like it’s all perfectly planned. Really what he’s going to say. You just have an idea of what might happen, but you never know which way he’s going to go, so you kind of just lean into it.”

Nikki: “He’s so talented, and we’ve been having so much fun.”

As they continued the discussion, Nikki brought up that Danhausen brings a unique comedy style to WWE, similar to the hilarious Santino Marella from the Bellas’ first run in WWE.

“And he gives me what I’ve been missing so much. A part of our product is those colorful characters.”

“So he’s been such a blessing—showing that the fans are loving him. And it just shows we are missing those kinds of characters. Like if Santino Marella were to show up right now, we’d all be in heaven because he would just bring that moment of laughter.”

It led Nikki to even suggest doing a crazy segment that ends with actual Bella clones, similar to the Minihausens that appeared at Backlash.

“I think it would be a really good idea—like Brie needs to show up with clones at one point, or he does something and it’d be funny if two Bella twins just pop out.” (H/T Ringsidenews)

Brie Bella has a busy week of title defenses because she and Paige are set to defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez on the May 18th edition of Raw. If Brie and Paige survive that, then they’ll defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against The Irresistible Forces duo of Nia Jax & Lash Legend. The Irresistible Forces were the Women’s Tag Team Champions going into WrestleMania 42, which is when Brie and Paige won the titles.
