Syko Stu Released From Hospital Attack By Raja Jackson
There’s finally been some good news for Syko Stu.
During a KnokX Pro event on August 23, Raja Jackson jumped into the ring and attacked Stuart Smith, who had been wrestling as Syko Stu.
Jackson, who had been sitting at ringside, stormed the ring and jumped Stu with a version of a double-leg takedown, which appeared to knock Stu out. Despite this, Jackson mounted Stu and delivered a series of hard punches to his head and face until finally being pulled away.
Stu was quickly rushed to the hospital, where he was treated for a raft of serious injuries.
KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy is run by Hall of Famer Rikishi and was a WWE ID school. However, the sports entertainment giant quickly cut ties with the promotion following the attack by Jackson.
Syko Stu Returns Home
A post on social media from Stu’s family has now confirmed that he’s been released from the hospital and has returned home. The statement also lists the litany of injuries he suffered at the hands of Jackson.
“Stuart has been released from the hospital and is now home resting. He sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER. His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth.
He has a long road of recovery ahead, but he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through.
We are deeply grateful for all the love and support we’ve received during this time. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way—whether through monetary donations, food, flowers, or gifts. Your kindness means more than words can express.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
With love and respect,
Contessa Patterson & Stuart Smith (aka SykoStu)”
In the days following the incident, a GoFundMe has been launched for Smith, which has already raised more than $213,000. AEW star Chris Jericho has provided one of the biggest donations, adding $2,500.
