Swerve Strickland Reveals Astonishing 7-Figure AEW Salary
Professional wrestlers don’t often go about revealing their salaries.
But Swerve Strickland might have done just that, and the actual figure might be astonishing.
A hypothetical internet post containing hypothetical WWE and AEW contracts got the fans talking. While the WWE contract claimed to pay $1 million annually for 3 years, it positioned the talent in the mid-card, whereas the AEW contract offered $600,000 for five years for representing the main event scene.
As fans weighed the options to determine which offer suited their lifestyle better, Swerve Strickland chimed in, inadvertently revealing his staggering 7-figure salary.

Strickland arrived in the Jacksonville promotion in March 2022, following his departure from WWE in November 2021.
In 2024, he signed a multi-year contract aimed at keeping him in the company until at least 2028. Since debuting in AEW, the 35-year-old has emerged as one of the most recognizable faces on the brand.
He recently turned heel and is currently involved in a feud with Brody King.
Brody King Turns The Tables On Swerve Strickland On Dynamite
Swerve Strickland’s feud with Brody King is to determine who the most dangerous man in AEW is.
The debate kicked off when Kenny Omega claimed King was more dangerous than Strickland a few weeks ago. Their post-segment brawl led to a singles match, following which Strickland viciously attacked Omega, turning heel in the process.
On last week’s Dynamite, he sneaked up on Brody King and choked him with his chain, leading to King passing out.
On March 11, though, King was ready. While interacting with ringside fans following his squash win, a hooded figure attacked the 38-year-old, later revealed to be Strickland.
Strickland again put his chain around Brody’s neck, aiming to choke him out again. However, King broke the shackles and put him in a chokehold of his own before he scurried away with Prince Nana’s aid.
The two heavyweights are set to meet again at AEW Revolution on March 15.
