Stone Cold Steve Austin’s WWE Return Date Potentially Revealed
Stone Cold Steve Austin might return to WWE soon.
Steve Austin wrestled his last WWE match at WrestleMania 38 Night One on April 2, 2022, in Arlington, Texas. He faced Kevin Owens in an impromptu No Holds Barred match and won the bout using the Stone Cold Stunner. The match marked Austin’s first sanctioned match in 19 years since his initial retirement following WrestleMania XIX in 2003.
Austin’s most recent WWE appearance took place at WrestleMania 41 on April 20, 2025. He made a surprise appearance during the show, driving an ATV to the ringside and crashing into the barricade.
Austin also appeared during the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony during the WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas. During the 2025 Hall of Fame ceremony, Austin was honored as a two-time inductee for his legendary match against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13, which was inducted into the new “Immortal Moment” category.
Stone Cold Steve Austin Could Return On WWE Raw For 3:16 Day In San Antonio, Texas
Next week’s episode of WWE Raw will take place on March 16 (3:16) in San Antonio, Texas. Given the significance of the date, many fans hope the Texas Rattlesnake might make an appearance at the event.
During a Q&A session on March 9, WrestleVotes commented that there is a possibility that Austin could show up on Raw next week.
“We talked to a couple of people over the weekend. There have been conversations that… I don’t want to say WWE has invited Steve Austin to RAW next Monday night on 3:16 Day in San Antonio, Texas, but there are people who work for the company that are very hopeful that Steve Austin will be on that Monday Night RAW just a week from tonight.”
“This would be his first Monday night appearance since before COVID.”
