WWE want ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin to have a “meaningful part” to play at WrestleMania 38 in his home state of Texas according to a new report.

WrestleMania 38 will take place at the AT&T Stadium in the Dallas area of Texas in 2022. This will be the second time the stadium has hosted the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’, with WrestleMania 32 having been held there back in 2016.

That night, WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin joined Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels in taking out the League Of Nations before Austin delivered a Stunner to Xavier Woods who had attempted to get the former WWE Champion to dance.

Now, WrestleVotes have reported on Twitter that WWE is “very interested” in having Austin appear at WrestleMania 38 in April.

“Talked to a few different source this weekend & heard the same thing, WWE is very interested in having Steve Austin as a part of WrestleMania this year in Dallas. Not in a wrestling role, but a meaningful part of the event outside of just appearing. Up to creative at this point.”

For the third year in a row, WrestleMania will take place over two nights, with the wrestling extravaganza taking place on both Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday, April 3rd, 2022.
