It’s been announced that Stephanie McMahon will host a new series coming to ESPN+ in March.

McMahon noted that the show is a joint enterprise between ESPN, WWE, and Omaha Productions.

Stephanie McMahon Relishing Step Back Into The Spotlight

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, McMahon discussed her life and career in wrestling while diving into her new challenge. With regard to the new series, she said the aim was to get a true insight into the characters and stories fans know and love.

“It’s really to tell the stories that haven’t been told. To find out more about the people behind the characters. What I want to do is bring some type of advice to the audience. These people are all hugely successful, but like most people, they’ve been knocked around a lot.

How did they overcome the challenges that were put in front of them? How did they get over certain things to become who they are today? It’s really their journey. That’s what I’m trying to tell, their story, their journey of how they’ve gotten to where they are.”

When asked about her feelings about hosting the series, McMahon said she was initially nervous but enjoyed diving back into wrestling. The star added that making the show was a lot of fun and promised that no two episodes would be the same.

“I’ve loved it. I was really nervous to do it. It was my first step back into the business and I was really worried about it. Ultimately, it’s been so rewarding. To get to hang out with our talent, that I know so well on a certain level, but to get to know them so much better and differently and to bring their stories out.

With each person it’s different. In some cases, I’m the younger person who remembers them as a big star and in other cases I’m the older person and I’m trying to pull things out of a younger superstar. No one show is the same. It’s a lot of fun.”

During the interview, Stephanie McMahon opened up about her WWE hiatus, admitting she wanted to “disappear.” Although she was quick to point out that she never stopped being proud of the company, she felt she needed a break.

McMahon walked away from WWE in January 2023 after her father, Vince McMahon, forced his way back onto the Board of Directors. Vince had initially announced his retirement several months earlier after a report uncovered several allegations of sexual abuse.

Although she no longer holds a formal role within the company, Stephanie has appeared on-screen several times since being part of the 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony.
