Son Of WWE Hall Of Famer Planning To Be A Wrestler After Football Career
The son of a WWE Hall of Famer admits that he plans to be a wrestler after playing football.
Bron Breakker is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and NXT Champion who is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner and nephew of another Hall of Famer, Scott Steiner.
Of the two, many fans say that Breakker resembles Uncle Scott more than father Rick in terms of his mannerisms in the ring, how he talks, and the moves he can do.
Brock Rechsteiner is Scott Steiner’s oldest son, who is a former college football player at Jacksonville State. Rechsteiner is a wide receiver and also signed a WWE NIL deal last September.
As a wide receiver, the 6’2″ and 225-pound Rechsteiner signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent and hopes to make it in the NFL. However, Rechsteiner told WDSU in New Orleans that pro wrestling could be in his future.
“It all comes with the territory, and I always liked watching [his father] growing up. I love going back watching his old promos, his old wrestling videos, everything like that.
It really inspired me when he got inducted to the [WWE] Hall of Fame back in Dallas, I think it’s 2022. That inspired me to — once I’m done playing football, I want to pursue football as long as I can, play as long as I can. But once I’m done, I’ll get into wrestling too.”
Rechsteiner went on to discuss his relationship with his cousin, Bron Breakker, whose real name is Bronson Rechsteiner.
“I work out with him all the time back home. I go fish with him a lot, because he moved back to Georgia. And he really convinced me to, once I’m done playing football, he’s — play football as long as I can, then once I’m done playing football, get into the wrestling business.” (H/T 411Mania)
WWE Legend Kevin Nash Wants Bron Breakker To Be A Steiner
On a recent episode of his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash said he wants Bron Breakker to use the Steiner name, a sentiment many fans likely agree with.
I saw, or actually heard, Seth call him Steiner, and it’s like, when is the WWE going to realize that he is a Steiner? He’s Bronson Rick Steiner. Why don’t I just call him Bron Steiner? Bron Breakker sounds like something I watched on a cartoon in 1971.
Bron Breakker. And maybe they thought that’s the direction that he’d go, but now that it’s been refined, and he held his nose and did this… the voice. It’s just like, come on, man. The guy can do it all. He looks like a million bucks. He can talk, he can definitely do the walk. So it’s just like, let the boy Boogie Woogie. Let him be Steiner.”
Whether Kevin Nash gets his wish regarding Bron Breakker becoming a Steiner isn’t known, but perhaps if Brock Rechsteiner makes it in WWE then he could use the Steiner name.
