Shawn Michaels Cuts Roxanne Perez’s Boyfriend From WWE

Roxanne Perez’s boyfriend is shockingly told to leave the WWE by the Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. Perez’s boyfriend is the rising NXT star, Drake Morreaux.

Roxanne Perez and Drake Morreaux have been with the WWE since 2022 and 2023, respectively. The two have been dating each other for the past few years. While Roxanne is a part of the Judgment Day faction on the main roster, Drake is still one of the rising stars on the developmental roster. Morreaux has performed on NXT, Evolve, and LFG since joining the Stamford-based promotion.

Shawn Michaels has been the head of creative for NXT for the past few years and is responsible for grooming many future stars. Meanwhile, HBK has decided to cut Drake Morreaux from his NXT roster, but there was a twist.

Shawn Michaels removes Roxanne Perez’s boyfriend from the WWE NXT roster but with a twist

On the recent episode of WWE LFG, Roxanne Perez’s boyfriend, Drake Morreaux wrestled in a match against Nathan Cranton. After the match, Drake was called by Shawn Michaels to his office to break the bad news. Michaels informed Morreaux that his time at the WWE Performance Center is over:

Look Drake, you’ve been here for how many years now? almost three right? And look, all of the coaches, everybody here, speaks extremely highly of you. The reality is though, after a certain amount of time, we have to make decisions about how much more time and investment we’re gonna put into somebody before they start to get this. So with that said, unfortunately, your time here at the PC is going to be over with.”

Shawn Michaels told Drake Morreaux that he does not have a place for him in NXT right now. However, Shawn also informed Drake that there is an opportunity for him in AAA, which is under WWE’s umbrella, and its creative is led by The Undertaker:

The reality is, we simply just do not have a place for you right now in NXT. But, the other side of that coin is, there’s a huge opportunity for you in AAA.” [from 0:10 onwards]

While Drake Morreaux was sad to hear from Shawn Michaels that he is getting cut from the NXT roster, he was pleased about getting an opportunity to perform in Lucha Libre AAA.
