Scarlett Bordeaux Reveals Scrapped WrestleMania Plans Before WWE Exit
WWE released Scarlett Bordeaux on August 10, 2020, after her and her husband Karrion Kross’s contracts with the company expired. Following their departure from WWE, they both returned to the independent wrestling scene.
Scarlett and Karrion Kross (now Killer Kross) recently sat down with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, where they discussed their marriage and life after WWE.
During the interview, Scarlett was asked how she feels about wrestling again, as fans didn’t get to see much of her inside the ring during her WWE tenure. Scarlett revealed that it feels good to be back in the ring.
Scarlett Bordeaux: I always have a very positive perspective no matter the situation I’m put in. If I’m told I’m going to manage, I’m going to manage the best possible. I’m going to make it feel as big as possible. That is what I was taught in the indies.
If you’re given a tiny role, try to make it as big as possible. I enjoyed managing WWE. I feel like I was very good at it. I did want to wrestle more. I was always ready and training and ready. It felt revitalizing to be back on the indies and getting to show that again.
Scarlett Bordeaux Was Originally Planned To Be A Part Of Phi
Adding further, Scarlett Bordeaux revealed that WWE had planned for her and B-Fab to be part of a tag match at WrestleMania 40, but the plan was eventually scrapped.
I think for a while it was difficult not being in the Royal Rumble. That’s something I really wanted. For a moment, they were talking about me and B-Fab actually being part of the tag match at WrestleMania we were in.
That was the conversation we were in. We were excited, but it didn’t happen and we managed. We were still grateful and lucky we were able to do that. Yeah, I am a wrestler. I did want to wrestle more, but now I get to and get to do it over the world. I get to do it in MLW. We’re going to Romania soon. There is so much more cool amazing stuff going on.
At WrestleMania 40, The Pride’s Bobby Lashley, Montez Ford, and Angelo Dawkins defeated The Final Testament’s Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar in a Philadelphia Street Fight match. B-Fab accompanied The Pride, while Scarlett accompanied The Final Testament.
