Ronda Rousey Gets An Open Invitation Following AEW Revolution 2026
Ronda Rousey made a shocking debut at AEW Revolution 2026 on Sunday, March 15. She showed up after Toni Storm defeated her close friend Marina Shafir in a singles match.
Following the match, Rousey emerged from the crowd and confronted Storm inside the ring. The two had a tense face-off, but before the situation could turn physical, security intervened and pulled them apart. During the chaos, Shafir landed a cheap shot on Storm before she and Rousey exited through the crowd.
During the post-show media event, Tony Khan addressed Ronda Rousey’s surprise appearance at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view. Khan explained that Shafir brought Rousey as backup since everyone else had been banned from ringside. He also reminded fans that Rousey had previously worked with him in Ring of Honor.
Tony Khan Invites Ronda Rousey To Join His AEW Roster
Khan added that if Rousey is interested, he would love to have her join the All Elite roster. The AEW President also revealed that Rousey has invited him to attend her upcoming MMA comeback fight.
“Well, Ronda (Rousey) is a really good friend of Marina Shafir, and Marina brought her in as backup… Marina and Ronda are good friends. Ronda’s actually wrestled for me before, but never in AEW. Ronda wrestled in ROH. We had a great match a few years ago, also in Los Angeles.”
“It was Ronda and Marina teaming up in ROH against Billie Starkz and the World Champion Athena. I thought it was fantastic. I loved that match, and when Marina said Ronda was gonna be her backup, well, it’s like, okay, everyone’s banned from ringside… Ronda Rousey’s a huge star, so, we have a great relationship with her. She’s wrestled for me before in ROH, and she’s always welcomed here in AEW anytime.”
“She’s got a big fight coming up against Gina Carano and I don’t know Gina Carano at all. Ronda’s always been very good to me. I wish her the best. I think that would be great. Ronda’s always welcome here and anybody from AEW that wants to attend that fight is welcome to do so. Ronda may invite some people. Ronda invited me to the fight tonight. So, I guess so, yes, sounds like we’re gonna be there.”
Ronda Rousey is scheduled to return to MMA on May 16, when she faces Gina Carano.
