Roman Reigns will be working some WWE PLE shows, but not all of them.

The “Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns has wrestled just two matches in 2026, yet he’s back on top of the WWE world after winning the World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk in an outstanding WrestleMania 42 main event match.

After making his return to television on the road to WrestleMania and in the weeks since, Reigns has declared he will be around WWE through the summer, although that doesn’t mean he’ll be on Monday Night Raw every week.

Even though Roman Reigns is a champion in WWE, he’s not expected to be at June’s Night of Champions PLE in Saudi Arabia.

That led to speculation that Reigns may have an uncertain future in WWE. However, Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select

“Roman Reigns isn’t going anywhere. In recent weeks, there were completely unfounded rumors that Roman Reigns was unhappy with TKO and WWE after his June dates were removed after they were promoted in error.”

In a follow-up to that, it was also reported that Reigns will still be part of WWE long term and is “factored in to WWE creative in a huge way.”

Roman Reigns Will Likely Wrestle At 3 Of The Next 4 WWE PLEs

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer has clarified more about how WWE promotes talents for PLE matches.

“When they do the ads say two months out unless it‘s Mania they don’t have the plans fully mapped out. It was noted that sometimes Punk, who is on most but not all shows, would be advertised at first until they get closer to the day and then if it’s a show he’s not on, when they get the creative down or a show he’ll miss, then they’ll pull him.“

Meltzer went on to write that Reigns is not the kind of WWE superstar who would be asked to take a pay cut, and he also mentioned Reigns’ upcoming WWE PLE schedule.

“Reigns is literally just about the last person in the company who would have been asked to take a pay cut.

Reigns will remain on Raw most weeks through the end of May because he’s doing Backlash and then the Clash in Italy, but he’s off Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia so won’t be on the TV leading to that. He’ll be back on in July building to SummerSlam as things stand right now.”

WWE Backlash takes place this Saturday, May 9th, and Clash In Italy is three weeks later on May 30th. SummerSlam is on August 1st and August 2nd in Minnesota. Night of Champions, which Reigns won’t be part of, is on June 27th.

Roman Reigns’ advertised WWE Raw appearances look like this:

• May 11th in Knoxville, TN
• May 18th in Greensboro, NC
• May 25th in Columbus, OH
• June 29th in Atlantic City, NJ
• July 13th in Dallas, TX
• July 27th in Los Angeles, CA

The next WWE PLE is Backlash on Saturday, May 9th in Tampa. Here’s the lineup so far.
