Huge Roman Reigns Bombshell Dropped, But Not In WWE
This major sports star has said something about Roman Reigns that could excite his fans.
Roman Reigns won the 2026 Royal Rumble and became the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42, which CM Punk held. After a heated feud with the Best in the World, the OTC finally managed to put Punk away and become the new World Heavyweight Champion at the Showcase of the Immortals.
The match was praised by fans and critics for its intensity and good storytelling by both stars involved. Reigns was performing as a part-timer in WWE in recent years, but now that he is back at the top of the roster, he has returned to being a full-time star.
Not even a week removed from WrestleMania 42, Reigns was locked in a feud with Jacob Fatu, who confronted the OTC directly, asking for a shot at the World Title on the Raw after ‘Mania. Fatu explained that he needs the title so that he can have fame and riches and subsequently give his family a better livelihood.
Reigns gave Fatu a week to think about his challenge, but Fatu emerged the following week confident in his stance. Their promo segment ended with Fatu choking Reigns out. The two will meet at Backlash on May 9th for the World Title.
Outside of WWE, Roman Reigns received some recognition and praise recently, and it was from a Basketball star.
Roman Reigns Gets High Praise From Jalen Burnson Of The New York Knicks
Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks talked about Roman Reigns after his team won its match against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday.
When asked how he felt about Roman Reigns defeating CM Punk to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 42, Burnson was very excited to answer and acknowledged his Tribal Chief.

Reigns is a seven-time WWE World Champion and holds the record of one of the longest title reigns in history with the Universal Championship (1316 days).
