Rhea Ripley Targeted By Major WWE Star: “You Can’t Run From Me”

A former NXT North American Women’s Champion has fired shots at the current WWE Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley. The star in discussion is Blake Monroe.

Rhea Ripley is considered one of the top female stars in the realm of pro wrestling today. She is the current WWE Women’s Champion, so she is on the radar of the entire women’s locker room. Meanwhile, the popular NXT star, Blake Monroe also has her sights set on Ripley.

Blake Monroe joined the WWE last year and has been one of the top stars on NXT, and is also a former North American Champion during her run. She was also a top star in AEW during her run from 2023 to 2025. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old star has targeted Rhea Ripley even before being called up to the main roster.

WWE star says Rhea Ripley can’t run from her

On the most recent episode of SmackDown, a vignette was aired teasing the WWE star, Blake Monroe’s arrival on the blue brand soon. In the vignette, Monroe addressed the entire women’s locker room on SmackDown. She specifically mentioned the current Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley, and stated the following about her:

Dear diary, there are so many fascinating women in that SmackDown locker room. Take for example Rhea Ripley. Such presence, such brutality, such delicious misery wrapped in all that black leather. You are as captivating as can be, but while you spend all your time trying to strike fear into the hearts of others, I know you’re only hiding from your own. All that heartbreak and betrayal.”

Blake Monroe also fired some shots at Ripley and the entire SmackDown women’s division, stating they can’t run from her. Monroe further announced that she is coming to SmackDown soon:

I don’t need a fake bravado to make a splash. I turn heads just by showing up. You can run from your fears all you want but you can’t run from me. I’m the stuff of nightmares and I’m dressed as beautiful as a dream. Don’t get too comfortable, because the Glamour is coming to SmackDown. Yours truly, Blake Monroe.” [H/T WrestleTalk]

Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley is slated to defend her WWE Women’s title against Jade Cargill this Sunday at Clash in Italy. Only time will tell when Blake Monroe will arrive on SmackDown and whether she will have a face-off with Ripley as well.
